Ó’Snódaigh launches Chinese retail interest

Sinn Féin TD Aengus Ó’Snódaigh has teamed up with Westmeath County Councillors and the Chinese government to develop what will be one of the largest retail hubs in Western Europe, to deal primarily in imported electical produce from China. Ó’Snódaigh revealed “the move will be a massive boost for local employment as well as small businesses in the surrounding sector. I have teamed up with Prime Minister Zsn Ntxu and local councillors to make this ambitious yet hugely exciting project come to life. It will be a badly-needed shot-in-the-arm for Westmeath which I hope will attract massive investment from overseas and widespread commercial activity throughout the country into the county, the likes of which we have recently seen with, say, IKEA in Dublin and all those off-licences in the North.” Ó’Snódaigh has himself invested in a small area of retail space, where it is understood he will open a printer cartridge refill outfit.
